“Robola – analyzing the queen of Kefalonia through tasting, oenology, and viticulture” The Kefalonia Winemakers, in collaboration with Anthea Kotsi, organizes the Kefalonia Wine Hub conference for the 5th consecutive year. This year, the 5th Kefalonia Wine Hub highlights Kefalonia’s dominant grape variety, Robola. “Robola – analyzing the queen of Kefalonia through tasting, oenology, and viticulture” Sunday, June 7, 11:00–13:00 The Kefalonia Wine Hub is a conference featuring talks by established wine and viticulture professionals on issues concerning the wine sector. Through this initiative, the Kefalonia Winemakers Association aims to create space for discussion around these topics and promote them nationwide. The goal of this initiative is to establish Kefalonia as a wine hub — a center for wine-related discussion in Greece. Co-organized by: the Region of the Ionian Islands and the Municipality of Argostoli, with the support of the Municipality of Lixouri and the Kefalonia and Ithaca Chamber of Commerce.
At the Robola Cooperative – Orealios Gaea, distinguished guests will speak about this grape variety in the heart of its production zone.
Specifically, Master of Wine Yiannis Karakasis, oenologists Panos and Spyros Zoumboulis, as well as winemakers from Kefalonia, will present topics related to this variety.
